my 11 year old cat is losing weight, she has almost no hair left on her belly. and to top it off, she has 3 or 4 spots on her front legs where you can see skin. she also has lost some hair around her eyes but, not much. she is a persian mix. i don't understand. can anyone help? she has been sleeping more than usual and when she mews it sounds like shes hoarse.

She needs to see a vet. Hair loss is caused by many different reasons: allergies, thyroid problems to name a few. Your vet will have to evaluate her, and they may need to run blood tests to determine the problem.
