I wish to help the people that have lost their hair do to unfortunet circumstances.I don't know exactly what the process is for this endeaver so any help will be greatly appreaciated.

I'm looking for a hair salon that works with a group called locks of love.I'm in Temple near the Post Office.

check this site out http://www.locksoflove.org/donate_hair.p...

it has all the information you need.

I donated 18", and it feels good to help others, a couple months after the donation, I got a thank you card. It was not necessary, but it is good to know that it helped someone.

I'm looking for a hair salon that works with a group called locks of love.I'm in Temple near the Post Office.

First of all, good for you! Locks of Love is a great organization...my sister cut off 13 inches of hair and sent it in!

Well if you can't find a salon you can send the hair in yourself to Locks of Love. Just put your hair in a tight ponytail (high or low, depends on how short you want your hair) and have the hairstylist cut right above the ponytail. This keeps the hair together and you can send it via mail.

Go to http://www.locksoflove.org for the address and more info!

Best of luck!!!

well, not much else to say

but you don't have to go to a particular salon to donate to locks of love. all you have to do is get the info and address from http://www.locksoflove.org and send it yourself.

As others have answered, I agree. Good for you to think of others and not just yourself when losing your hair. However there are some things to keep in mind when donating hair. It will best benefit if it is "virgin" hair...meaning NO chemicals (colours/perms). Secondly, it must be a minimum certain length. Either way, I'm sure it will help someone feel good again! See other sites that you can donate hair to. Thanks for caring!

I'm looking for a hair salon that works with a group called locks of love.I'm in Temple near the Post Office.

You don't necessarily need the salon to participate. Locks of Love has a website with all the info and a form you fill out. Our salon participates by taking care of sending the hair to them for you. We wait until we have a bunch and send them all at once, but not all salons do that. Just call around and ask if they've done it before. Sometimes they will offer your cut for free. If they are just willing to help in cutting you ponytail off and you have to be responsible to send it is fine just make sure they know the specifications.

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

my lab has lost his hair he has had past istory of this I thought it was yeast from the dog food but after changing his food he still had the same problem. took him to the vet and spent $500.00. We had a very cold day and I put hay-straw in his pen and his hair started to shed ok so now i stripped the pen from the hay and he looks a Mess! Do I need to get Black oil and rub over him or what do I do he stays itchy sounds crazy but I gave him Benadrill. PLEASE HELP!

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

Hi, sorry about your dog, but there's no need to give it up, like some others would have you do. There is home remedies for everything if you know where to look. Try going to http://www.earthclinic.com and read up on mange and doggie skin conditions. p.s. there are home remedies there too for this "itchiness w/hairloss".

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

benadrill is ok But it doesn't solve the problem. manage would cause a dog to loose hair. First off why is the dog in a pen? my dogs sleep in my bed and have full run of the house when I am home and gone. Your dog has serious problem. A dog should never be outside in hay when it is cold. You need to give the dog up to someone that will take better care of him.

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

Have the vet do a full thyroid panel. Also if its mostly on the flank it may be the harmless Seasonal Flank Alopecia which there really isn't much you can do but let time do its thing. Some people give melatonin for SFA.I've not had luck with that though. Your dog may also be allergic to the straw.

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

your dog might be suffering from alapeasha

my bulldog has it and the vet told me to buy seratonin 3mg and it calms them down.

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

Have your vet check your dog's thyroid level, this is often an overlooked problem, don't ever give your pet OTC drugs without first checking with a vet and black oil is a definite no-no

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

Might be Mange, you can buy shampoo at the pet store or your vet might have it follow the directions, I believe you bath your dog 1x or 2x a week. I had a dog with the same problem.

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

go to the vet sometimes are kidney or lever problems an just a diet food can be OK

anyway is normal loos some hair

What to do about my dog loosing his hair?

yo have to go him to a vet or buy a medicines for him

Help ..am 26yrs , i play alot with My HAIR !!?

It is nervous.

You can try meditation - relaxation - yoga.

You can try hypnosis : the doc will suggest you during the sleep, to quit this bad habit.

I did hypnosis to quit smoking but it didn't worked for me, that it doesn't mean that hypnosis doesn't work for other people. Try, you never know !

Ovarian cyst and excessive hair loss?

I've been losing a lot of hair for the past year--literally half of my hair is lost. I found out 3 mths ago that I have an ovarian cyst. My blood results are normal now, though they were a little abnormal at first.About 2 weeks after the 1st test and the blood results magically became normal. Do cysts go away? Does anyone know how and/or when the hair loss will stop? It's totally depressing me, especially since I've been to the dermatologist and he just recommended Lidex and Nizoral shampoo, which did not help at all. I have a large amount of hair falling every single day, but when I wash my hair (about 2-3 times a week) double the amount comes out and even more comes out after I comb my hair after washing it. I don't know how much more positive I could stay. I keep reassuring myself that it will stop soon, but I'm just afraid of going bald.Should I get retested?Periods are basically normal now .I have gained 25lbs in abt 1 yr, maybe due to the cyst. Please help if u can.

Ovarian cyst and excessive hair loss?

Do you have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)? If so, hair loss is common with this disease (as well as hair growth on other areas of your body). Weight gain, particularly around the midsection, is also a symptom of PCOS. If you have PCOS you should be getting treated, usually with birth control pills taken continuously - over time this usually helps with hair loss (and excessive hair in other places). I've heard that Yaz, taken continuously is great for those with PCOS. You should definitely talk to your doctor about this. You don't want to talk to the dermatologist about PCOS, you need to talk to your gynecologist or primary care physician.

Ovarian cyst and excessive hair loss?

i dont think hair loss is connected to the cyst but i could be wrong. i was diagnosed with a cyst as well but i lose my hair everytime I am stressed.. mention this to your GYN and see what she says. Best of luck.

Ovarian cyst and excessive hair loss?

Yes, cysts can go away. I agree with another poster; your hair loss could be due to stress. Are you using minoxidol? It actually promotes hair growth and was recommended to one of my girlfriends when she experienced stress-related hair loss. It's OTC. Hers went away as soon as her rotten husband did (in other words, the hair loss stopped when her stress lowered). Best of luck.

What can i do to pervent hair lost?

I didn't know that the hair can be "PERVENTED"

A suggestion for people w/dry&damaged hair and a Question?

After changing my hair color 3 times this summer, I ended w/dry%26amp;damaged hair and lost a lot of hair. I have been trying many products to cure that.

I have just used Brazil Nuts (the body shop) and my hair got softer and felt more like human hair for the first time. It looked like doll's hair before.

But I still have very little and thin hair. I have been going to a dermotolagist and all of blood tests are OK. She says I must use vitamins and not have a hair cut or dye for a while and it would be OK. Do you think she is right? I am really feeling miserable. I asked to use Rogaine. My dermotogist tells it is not required.

But I am still losing a lot of hair. What can I do? How long does it take for hair to repair itself and grow (if it grows of course)?

PLEASE help!!!!

A suggestion for people w/dry%26amp;damaged hair and a Question?

your doctor is right. don't do anything to your hair except for a haircut or conditioning. no heat treatments, no coloring, straighening, curling or anything that will damage you hair.

there are vitamins specialized to treat the hair. herbal shampoos with aloe vera are effective too. stress plays a part in hair loss too, so don't get TOO stressed. my aunt went bald due to stress, so don't stress out too much. drink your vitamins and do some more research on which shampoos you can use. shampoos can to be very harsh to the scalp which also contribute to the hair loss you are experiencing. change shampoos and use a milder shampoo with aloe vera.

if your dermatologist didn't tell you to use rogaine, follow her advice. it'll take some time, probably months for hair to get back to normal.

A suggestion for people w/dry%26amp;damaged hair and a Question?

Well, if your thyroid is Okay, I suggest that you take vitamins like Vitamin Bs and Biotin too. Try Rainbow vitamin complex for hair, skin and nail. It contains the initial vitamins. You can buy this from wholefoods. Good Luck!

A suggestion for people w/dry%26amp;damaged hair and a Question?

Stop dying your hair, it will just keep drying up your hair especially if you are lightening it. It is okay to have thin hair, I have a friend of mine with thin hair and she is beautiful anyway. It is what is on the inside that counts not the outside. In years from now, your beauty will be gone and all that is left is what is on the inside. Why would you dye your hair three times in a few months anyway? Learn to accept yourself the way you are and I am sure you are beautiful and you will feel beautiful. There is also a time in the year that we call chestnut season this is when you tend to lose more hair than usual. Guess what it is about this time of year. So stop worrying about your hair and go natural. Vitamins is also good for you.

A suggestion for people w/dry%26amp;damaged hair and a Question?

Wow, I am really sorry to hear about that, ok your Dr. is the boss, and if she said no to the rogaine, listen to her, one thing I would ask her, ask her if you can use nioxin, it is all natural, and botanical. not like rogaine, it doesn't use the harsh chemicals, i am sending you the link to their website, maybe you can show her.

another thing I would recommend doing daily/weekly scalp massages. It will help stimulate your hair follicles, and promote hair growth.

Genetics and stress and on a rare occasion there is a disease called Alapichia, sorry about the spelling on this not sure but it will cause the lose of hair on both men and women.

What is the main cause of hair lost?

I like the answer stress and hereditary reason are the number one cause. But if you want to look under a microscope, getting a more intricate answer. Hereditary hair loss is believe to be caused by DHT which stands for Dihydrotestosterone, a hormone formed when the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase interacts with testosterone. DHT destroys the hair follicle making it near impossible for hair growth.

Other than stress the only know reasons are pulling it out, stress, trauma to the follicle caused by burns or lack of moisture in the skin, and radiation that deteriorates hair growth completely such as with chemo patients.

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

but i don't have that much money, so i was wondering if those home straightening kits are okay, or whether i'll lose my hair or something. i'm not expecting like, perfectly straight results, but my hair isn't curly or wavy in a nice way, it's just frizz. any help?

thanks

x

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

Truthfully, If I were you, I wouldn't permanently straighten your hair. I did about two years ago, and where the part in my hair was, the hair broke off because of the chemicals. So then I had new hair starting to grow and I had to part my hair on the opposite side. I know from it experience that it is really bad for your hair. You'd be better off flat-ironing it every day like I do. If you must, then I would have a professional do it. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

deff don't permanently straighten it. It ruins the hair more, and would give you more frizz.. I had the same problem until I used pantene pro- v conditioner, it reeeally helps with the frizz, after that you should try a home straightener (flat iron) works wonders with my frizzy hair! Report It

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

I think you better start saving some money because it楹搒 a really strong procedure for your hair and if something goes wrong you will end up with a huge mess. Also if you color your hair It wont be worth the damage to your hair. I did ir with a professional and I had perfectly straight for 6 months but my hair got so thin and lifeless so i don楹搕 recommend it at all. I say you buy a good straightening iron and have more options on how to wear your hair

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

talk to your stylist about this

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

i had it done a few years back and it didnt work...

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

Any chemical procedure on "virgin" hair should be done professionally. I say save your money. In the mean time try some different hairstyles like braids or wet sets to pass the time. They usually last longer and work pretty well with your hair type.

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

Home straightening kits are okay,But they should always be done by a professional,Find a hairdresser in city/town and let them do it.

I did one of those home straightening kits at home, and my hair kinda broke off because the chemicals stayed on too long,And because I didn't deep condition like I was supposed to.

After using any type of chemicals on your hair, always deep condition to prevent breakage,That is a must!

Hope this helps you!

I'm thinking of permanently straightening my hair?

First: there is no such thing as "permanently straightening" your hair. Once you get it done, you'll have new growth which will be a different texture from the hair already straightened. That's what you call a "touch up". So that's what I mean by you not being able to "permanently straightening" your hair.

If I were you, I would not get the home kits. There are several you can chose from, but if you aren't careful you can damage your hair.

It can be expensive to have a professional do it, but it's worth it! There is even a such thing as "gentle" "regular" and "super" strength relaxer's (straighteners). So you have to be careful with that too.

Good Luck!!

I need advise on food for my hair loss. healthy diet i know but what specifically which friuts veg o

I need advise on food for my hair loss. healthy diet i know but what specifically which friuts veg or tablets?

You need protein and it will take time for your hair to cycle in the new growth. So meat, eggs, soy, dairy.

In the meantime take a good multivitamin and extra Biotin.

I need advise on food for my hair loss. healthy diet i know but what specifically which friuts veg or tablets?

Eat meat!

Also my dad is starting to loose his hair try cholosterol treatments! this really does work by helping prevent future hairloss if used daily or weekly .. apply evenly onto baldspots and rest of head where you have hair leave on for 10-20 seconds ..make sure hair is completely dry and rinse out after 15 more sec.

good luck!

hope I helped!

I need advise on food for my hair loss. healthy diet i know but what specifically which friuts veg or tablets?

Make sure you eat enough calories in the day. I did the same kinda diet thing during volleyball season and i started loosing my hair. I later had to go to an assembly at school on eating disorders and found out when your body doesn't have enough calories you can start loosing your hair. Hope it helps!

I need advise on food for my hair loss. healthy diet i know but what specifically which friuts veg or tablets?

Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast.Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white and oil massage could also be used to strengthen the roots of hair. More remedies at http://hairthinning.org/ will prevent further problems.

Does anyone know where I can go to get hair replacement surgery for cheap?

I have been starting to lose my hair since my early twenties and wanted to get hair replacement surgery. I went to a well known hair replacement company here in NYC. The cost is so expensive $7,600 for 2,000 grafts.

Does anyone know where I can get such a surgery cheaper than this? Probably half of the price I mentioned or less.

Does anyone know where I can go to get hair replacement surgery for cheap?

Don't! Be Bald! It's cute and so are you. Think of all the guys who are bald (Mr. T., the cute guy in Fast %26amp; Furious, etc.) You are you. Anyone who doesn't like it that's them. Not you. Be You! Take your cash and take a vacation to the Carribean and have Fun! Peace!

Does anyone know where I can go to get hair replacement surgery for cheap?

Here in Cananda, the ones I have heard of start at about $10,000 for 2 sessions, so about 4000 grafts. And since you are in NY, Canada is not that far away from you, if you couldn't find a cheaper option in the US. But I have also heard from clients that have had it done that it is an unbelieveably painful procedure, so good luck.

I have a santaclause decoration his hair lost all its curlyness its dead stright how do i make it cu

Is this true about hair loss?

Is it true that wearing hats will for so long will eventually make you lose your hair, or go bald. Or is this just a myth?

Is this true about hair loss?

If you already have the genes and subsequently the chemistry that causes hair loss, wearing a hat will exacerbate the problem. If you don't, then it makes no difference.

By the way, your hairline comes from your Mother, and women actually have a surprising amount of pattern baldness!

Is this true about hair loss?

It's true.

Is this true about hair loss?

Myth.

Your hair follicles don't care if you wear a hat.

How can i effectively lose three pounds per week? How many calories/hours of exercise are needed to lose two to three pounds per week? What forms of exercise are most effective to getting that "beach body" without a fitness club membership? I am able to use the treadmill I have at home and a few Cindy Crawford videos, my mom has from the late nineties. I am still growing so no diet that could possibly stunt my growth, please, oh and I know this fails to apply to fitness and diet, but a cute haircut for a person who has very high cheek bones and waist length hair ( without losing a lot of the hair!:D ) ? And my goal is too lose at least 15 pounds by, or before February 8th!

It's safe, it's healthy and you don't have to give anything up but junk.

You eat 6 times a day....drink pleanty of water and exercise...( all I did was walk 3 times a week).

I lost 14 pounds the first week....30 pounds in 3 weeks....and 100 pounds in 3 months. The weighloss slowed down after that....and after 10 months I was down 155 pounds. I still have 80 to go...but I have a ton of energy and I'm happy.

Good luck to you!!

Leg Hair loss?

I'm a pretty hairy guy, but lately I've lost the hair on my lower legs from the sock line down. I don't think I have on tight socks, as they do fall down some. I'm wondering if there is any type of disease or condition that would cause this. I also have a lowered sense of feeling in my extremities, but my blood pressure is good. Any thoughts?

Leg Hair loss?

You don't state your age. It sounds like your socks are rubbing up against your legs. They don't have to be tight or lose for this to happen. The material moves up and down when you walk after some time the hair will stop growing. The extremity thing you might want to check with a doctor. That sometimes could mean the on set of diabetes (again might).

Lossing hair?

I've been stating to lose some hair lately and now i have 2 bald spots on the front of my head, im 19 girl anyone have an idea why?

Lossing hair?

Fungus can cause bald spots and so can a vitamin deficiency and even stress.

Lossing hair?

could be that your eating a lot of junk food, and/or you are very stressful/worried about problems in life.

Lossing hair?

It could be due to a hormonal imbalance or a vitamin deficiency. See a dermatologist, they can help. In the meantime, take a good multivitamin.

Lossing hair?

Are you bulimic, being malnourished can cause hair lose

Lossing hair?

hormones?

Lossing hair?

try vitamin's, you could have a deficiency.

Lossing hair?

Go to your MD and have a TSH drawn. (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Hypo or Hyper Thyroidism can cause significant hair loss. Let your doctor know also if you have had any sudden weight gain or loss, abnormal periods, fatigue, or dry skin. All of these are symptoms of thyroid disorders. They are VERY easily treated and VERY under-diagnosed, especially in young women.

It is a blood test and the results will be back in 1-2 days. Good luck.

Lossing hair?

Stress or hormones cause hair loss as well as hereditary issues, go to a Dr.........Good luck!!

Lossing hair?

I'm pretty sure lovethe48 is the closest to right on this. My brother started to get a couple bald spots on his head at about that age and he went to the skin doctor and they said it was a low functioning thyroid. The only problem is that you'll probably have to take pills for the rest of your life :( They are amazingly cheap though, so thats no biggie. A few other symptoms would be your neck getting thicker, loosing hair on other body parts, weight gain, maybe being a little sleepier than normal. I don't know how often them other things take to start doing though...my brother waited months before going to the doctor, I'd just go now and get it over with. lol

I have a long hair cat that has scabs , and has hair lose can oil for minks help?

I just had a problem with non pustular bumps that turned scabby. I went to the vet and it was diagnosed as Miliary dermatitis. The cat got a shot of cortisone and is on the mend. Miliary Dermatitis is a allergic reaction to fleas or another item in your household. My cat didn't have fleas which is the most common cause but she does love to lay on those plastic bags from the supermarket. Plastic allergy is another common cause. The vet told me that cats don't like ointments or creams on their skins as they don't like the feel so they try to mess with the scabby areas even more. I am unfamiliar with Mink oil but I wouldn't use anything till I got advise from your vet. If cost is keeping you from consulting a vet like it was me. Call around I found pet exams in my area from $19.00 to $38.00.The shot was an extra $8.50 so I got good care for my pet without paying a fortune. And the vet who charged less has the nicest office and very high recommendations. Good luck.

I have a long hair cat that has scabs , and has hair lose can oil for minks help?

Take the poor thing to a VET

I have a long hair cat that has scabs , and has hair lose can oil for minks help?

Sounds like my kitty. He has dermatitis and has to get shots regularly. Take him to the vet.

I have a long hair cat that has scabs , and has hair lose can oil for minks help?

My cat has this too, the vet said it was because he was stressed, we brought a new cat in the home and I guess he isn't happy about it, he gave me medication so he can calm down.I have never tried oil of minks, I am also giving him Brewers yeast tablets, he seems to be getting better.

What precausions should i take to avoid hair lose and to thick hair growth?

avoid dandruff and itching

What precausions should i take to avoid hair lose and to thick hair growth?

I had very fine hair when I was younger. My parents kept it REALLY short for several years. When I finally grew it out, no one can believe how think and how much hair I now have. Every time I get my hair cut, the hairdresser always makes a comments about how beautiful, thick, and how much hair I have. It might be hard to keep it really short, but if you can find the right style and keep reminding yourself why your doing it will all pay off in the end. Having no regrets as to the means you had to endure in order to achieve your final goal of luxurious, beautiful, and every ones envy hair!

Which oil is good for hair lose ?

Sorry, but there is nothing you can do about hair loss. If your mother's father lost his hair, then the fact is that you will follow suit - in a similar fashion. Men - just let it be. I started losing my hair in my early twenties. Yes, it was tough at the beginning - but I learnt to live with it. It was the only thing I could do. I'm 33 now and now I couldn't care less. Women don't care either about men losing their hair. Just live with it!!

Which oil is good for hair lose ?

it all depends on the amount of hair loss and the reason for it

If it is male pattern baldness, it is generally genetic caused by too much testoterone and there is little you can do about it, but you can get some great thickening shampoos to thicken what is left (elvive thickening shampoo for men works wonders for my dad)

it's any other reason like the general condition i would recommend that you get sea kelp tablets at any decent health store (holland and barret, boots etc) usually around 鎷? for 180 tablets. they're very good and works wonders,

i would also recommend a good healthy diet as it can be caused by lack of certan supplements problems. also try and relax a bit (i know if you're stressed it's very hard to do but it can help)

good luck and i hope this helps :)

What is the solution in hair lose?

hi dear ,

apart from this mess i tell you the real treatment for the hair loss.

firstly remember that your hairs grows in various phages like catagen, telogen and anagen stage.

emotional causes are the most imp, they try to

# decrease the life span of anagen cycle to cause thinning of hair cortex

# decreases the blood circulation to the hair cortex.

so to solve out this problem, avoid undue emotional disturbance, maintain mental calmness, perform yoga daily, share all your +ive and-ive feelings with someone.

second main reason is nutrition

to maintain it you should take,

enough protiens like soya, meat, chicken, milk, green veg

enough vitamins and minerals that you get from green veg and fruits

start your day with a juice rather than a tea.

third main reason is hereditary

to resolve the c/o, consult a good homoeopath in your locality.

have happy hairing dear....

What is the solution in hair lose?

you have to know first what's causing it. If its in your genes, then you have a lower chances of avoiding it to happen. But if it due to other factors, like to much exposure to sun, food, medications, etc. then you have to adjust. Better yet, seek professional help. Take care of your hair by using shampoo and conditioner always when you take a bath. you may also try some herbal shampoos. I hope this helps. :-D

What is the solution in hair lose?

There is no one-solution-fits-all. You need to find out what causes the hair loss.

What is the solution in hair lose?

wash it everyday

What is the solution in hair lose?

As with any health issue, always start with asking your doctor.

Are you aware of any other symptoms? Personally, my hair loss was due to hypothyroidism. Although my predominant symptom has been fatigue, there have been periods of time that I have lost handfuls of hair.

Recognize and make note of all symptoms you may be having so that you are well prepared when you speak with your doctor. Also, there are vitamin supplements designed especially for hair and nail growth.

What is the solution in hair lose?

You can use vitamins "A" and caleciam. you can try sesa oil also.

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

I am severly balding. I will lose my hair. I don't have a girlfriend and I am afraid girls won't like me anymore. I am very depressed about this. I don't want to use hair plugs or anything like that. How can I shake this notion that women won't like me if I am bald?

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

so many men and guy shave there head now and don't worry woman like men bald and the one that well like you love you what in your heart.. not what in your head . a head full of hair .so don't worry .the special woman well ....don't losing your self-esteem.that all you have.be strong.and never lose your self in your .bald

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

dude....vin diesel is bald...he doesnt seem to have too much lady trouble

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

Stay in shape, some women may think it is sexy with your hair. If you keep yourself in shape that will still build the motivation and "vain-ness" to still have respect for youself. Thus, still being active and flirting with the ladies and such. Dont be depressed, if all else fails, try that hair stuff off TV.

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

I think some guys look sexy bald. Why not just shave it all off? I would rather see a guy shave it all off then have some hair in patches. Just be proud of who you are and remember bald is beautiful.

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

If the girls don't like it, well....screw them. Or find a girl to make a deal with, she will help you shave your head and you will help her shave her legs.

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

There are alot of guys out there who shave their heads to get the bald "look". And alot of them are pretty hot! Maybe you should just shave it off and go with it! There are plenty of women who like bald guys!

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

Shave your head completely. There is nothing worse than a Polish Mohawk, or a pathetic little Alamo on your forehead

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

"hair plugs?" lol...actually, the best treatement is micro grafts. I had it done. 2300 grafts. I did it because I am a red head and I don't want to shave it all off and use sun block or wear a hat. Actually, if you are in relatively good shape, a lot of women really dig completely bald guys. Baldness shows you have an elevated testosterone level. Think about it.....Testosterone is what makes the **** work.

Help! I am balding and losing self-esteem?

Don't sweat it. You can always shave all of your hair off. My husband is only 30 and he's lost ALOT of his hair. I'm not big on the whole "balding" look! I did shave all of his hair off and he looked hot as hell. So just remember that is an option. Completely bald by shaving is much better than balding and trying to hang on to what little hair you have left. A bald man is sexy! Stop worrying, shave that head and wait to see how many girls ask to feel it! LOL! also remember: Confidence=Sexiness!

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

It started out small, I thought it was just probably nothing? The baldish spot is on around her hind legs, where the heels are. Anyone knows if that's normal? During the vet check up, I forgot to ask, and I don't want to go back for a simple question concidering there's a check up fee. I don't want to bother if it's nothing serious to worry about.

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

Whoa there... hold off on medicating your pet before you know what's wrong!

Things that hairloss can indicate:

Dermatitis due to skin infection

Flea bite allergy (but not usually so if you don't see any fleas)

Hyperthyroidism

Ringworm

Allergies

Barbering (behavior when a cat chews for no reason)

+/- kidney disease

Stress

I would call your clinic and leave a message for the doctor that saw your cat. Often times they look at the record and can give you advice over the phone. If the cat had hairloss at the vet, the vet should note it in the chart during the exam. But I wouldn't treat for something you don't know she has without asking the vet... often that can cover up a problem or cause a bigger problem.

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

I had a cat that lost patches of hair on her rump if she came into contact with fleas... I don't know if that could be it or not--maybe you could just give the vet's office a call and tell them you forgot to ask at your appointment, but you wondered if they had noticed anything problematic?

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

It is possible that your cat has had an allergic reaction to flea bites. You can get a flea comb from most pet stores (it's a very fine-toothed metal comb); run it through the cat's fur, and if there are fleas, they will be caught between the teeth of the comb. If you see fleas, you will of course need to deal with those. If you don't see fleas, and the bald patches don't spread, then keep an eye on them to be sure that they are not getting infected; if the area starts to spread significantly, it's time to see the vet. Since it sounds like you've recently taken the cat for a check-up, the fact that the vet didn't mention it makes me think that it is a temporary matter; if you can see that it is distressing the cat, then take her/him in to be seen again. Good luck!

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

I am aware that hair loss in cats if it is generalized is typically because the cat is stressed. When the hair loss is in a specific area my sense is that it is probably something she is doing via chewing and is probably the result of a food allergy or she may have bites from fleas which can cause extreme itching. Do you notice any inflammation, reddening of the skin in that area, bumps? Have you changed her food recently? While you shouldn't be overly concerned, it should be watched so you will know if it gets better or worse. If it does not clear up within a week or 10 days, I recommend you take her in or some vets will talk to you on the phone and give you an idea of what it might be and/or what you might do about it. Since she has had a check up recently, they probably won't charge you for another check-up, just the office visit. Good luck and remember, you are the only one she has to rely on to provide her what she needs to be safe and healthy. I know $ can be a problem but you wouldn't want her to be suffering either. You may be able to work something out with the vet too.

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

There may be something of use here.

My cat has a bit hair lost...?

That is a classic dermatitis area, back of legs and hips. Keep her Frontlined or Advantaged for flea control and see if it clears up. If not, she may need a steroid from the vet, to control itching.

Black Women: Does your hair shed excessively?

Why do you lose excessive hair right before its time to get a perm? Personally, I wear a press %26amp; curl, and I am trying to get it done like clockwork every 14 days, but the second week before its time to be done, it starts to major shed. It did the same thing right before it was time to get a perm.

When I say major shedding, I mean like, I can comb through it and have like 10 or 15 hairs in the comb. That is a lot to me.

Black Women: Does your hair shed excessively?

Black hair is very fragile. You could be over conditioning your hair or the opposite, not enough and the hair is breaking off. Try to locate a good stylist, or try a beauty school to get someone to check your hair out

Black Women: Does your hair shed excessively?

agree with first poster. could be your perm is too harsh for your hair type. you should have a "deep conditioning" treatment at least once a month.

afro textured hair needs constant moisture.

you should also sleep with it tied up or on a satin pillowcase each evening as the friction between ones hair and pillow case can cause breakage.

I suggest you investigate another salon that specializes in the condition of the hair. sometimes hair dressers are too busy to focus on the individual needs of a clients hair.

the fact that you are asking questions signals to me that you are willing to take on a greater responsibility for your own hair's maintenance and health.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

Obviously,Humans have hair on their body and more hair in certain "areas" than others.

But I'm wondering why humans don't have enough hair to protect them from the elements?

Other mammals that live in "warm" climates south of the equator southern regions haven't lost their hair to stay "cool" and they have been "evolving as long as long or longer than "humans".

Also, why don't Humans have enough hair to not have to wear clothes in cold climates to survive.

If your considering the idea that we "invented" clothing to stay warm, please reallly thik about it.

Why invent something we didn't need as we "evolved"?

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

The basic form of humans and our near ancestors in the genus Homo developed in an environment where warmth wasn't a problem.

We probably lost our hair because we started using fire at the cusp of the distinctions between H. habilis and H. erectus, being covered with long yet sparse hair like chimps and orangutans makes a campfire sort of dangerous.

Second and third degree burns in a world without antibiotics. Bald is definitely beautiful if the alternative is scabby, runny and or dead.

Our bodies are long and lean to shed heat better on the savannah, growing more hair wouldn't have helped overcome this maladapted design in a cold climate. Fire and clothes came along too quickly for mutation and natural selection to have enough time to work on the problem.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

because were not monkies

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

Is part of the evolution, millions of years ago humans used to have lots of hair... scientist says that human it would be a moment in time history that we are going to be hairless.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

Humans started out in africa and as moved north it suddenly got colder and ti takes millions of years to evolve so a clan that moved north wouldnt have time to evolve and grow more hair.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

I think the person above me has the point

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

Really try to think about this answer.

Evolve, quickly even if it seems/appears counteractive.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

clothes do make the man, how would you like to go to work with no clothes on , see why now

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

my opinion is that either God made us this way for a reason.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

What are you talking about??? Some guys do look like apes! They have hair all over their body!! All humans have hair all over their body, it is just really light and thin.

My theory is we used to be incredibly hairy but were naked all the time, then we discovered clothes and the hair became less of a need for us.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

well, it is just that God made us this way!(if u believe in God)

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

As humans evolved, the fur became infected with parasites and disease: fleas, lice, and ticks can live in it. Without the fur, infections became less common.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

One theory proposed on Animal Planet was a show entitled "Aquatic Ape." They suggest that early people stood up in rivers and the water environment reduced the need for body hair. At least in people. True of hippos too but not seals or sea otters or other aquatic animals. Also true of dolphins to an extent.

Clothes have been around for 500,000 years. Originally they were very simple, whatever one could fashion for themseves out of vines and leaves and so on in nomadic tribes. Later on during great civilizations obviously only the very wealthy and nobility would have had clothes and the poor who did not know how to weave or fashion them would not.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

See, I think we DID need it as we "evolved"... like other animals (not always mammals either), you go where the food and sex is, or you die. Remember that first the contient was pangea and all stuck together. Just as it was more convenient to be more and more upright, in various areas it was more convenient to have less hair (or more pigment in our skin to protect us from the sun). There were lots of "tribes" in different places, and over many hundreds of years as the continent split apart into the vast oceans and things, the climate changed and stuff moved around - and the tribe's tribes that moved around needed less hair and less pigment, etc depending on where they were.

Now we are all naturally white/black/asian, hairy, good swimmers, fat/skinny, etc LOL

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

Firstly, *Evolution* is the reason for the animals to grow or shed hair. Humans invented the dress to keep themselves warm in cold climate. That means humans had much grey matter than other animals and so they moved to the next level and started innovating things to stand before all odds where other animals failed. Secondly, *Hormone* is also a major factor for for this hair growth. Animals got more hormone than human.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

First off, animals don't have hair, mammals have fur. There are major differences between human skin and hair and the skin and fur of mammals. Also remember, there are several other mammals that are almost hairless, the elephant and hippo.

Evolution of human hairlessness.

http://www.science.siu.edu/zoology/King/...

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

According to the book titled "The Naked Ape", humans lost hair during our evolution to make sex sexier. I think the author's name is Desmond Morris, but it's been a long time--almost 35 years ago--since I read the book so I'm not positive he was the one.

Edit: I went to an internet bookseller site and found out I was right--Desmond Morris was the author. The book was first published in 1967 and is still being printed and is available.

Why don't humans have the same amount of hair as other mammals?

Honestly, it is not needed by humans but to cover a few vunerable spots (like our noggens to keep us warm and protected from the sun where we may not be covered by clothing. Man has made clothing for himself almost from the beginning. It did not matter what climate he was in because he could regulate his temperature by clothing, housing, and fuel (fire).

Animals in warmer climate often do not have much hair or fur as it is not needed (in some cases) but they cannot make clothing for themselves so fur is needed for protecting them from the many elements.

Hair Loss on my legs....?

Recently, I noticed I was starting to lose the hair on the outside of my lower legs. This is happening on both legs. I went to the doctor and they tested my blood for thyroid problems, diabetes, etc..They said everything was normal. Does anyone have any ideas besides, clothing (socks, pants, etc...)?

Thanks

Hair Loss on my legs....?

well i dont really know if i can help cuz i'm having all kinds of medical problems right now-but i'm having hair loss like that too..however i have an underfunctioning thyroid. my mom told me that she notices that she doesnt need to shave very much during the winter months-which i find odd because i always thought it would grow more to help keep u warm. but idk.

Red vinegar preventing hair loss?

Some guy swears thats why he is the only guy of his family that didnt lose his hair. Washing his hair with red vinegar.

It makes some sense the way he explained it, because some hairloss is actually caused by overloads of certain hormones or chemicals in the skin. His explaination was the vinegar washes out these chemicals. Kinda made sense the way he explained it, but i was wondering if anyone else has heard of this.

No im not planning on doing it, i dont need to, but i was curious.

Red vinegar preventing hair loss?

I doubt it, if it was that simple there would ne no hair club for men and the such lol

Should I put a track in my hair?

I have hair, its long but its not as full and managable like it use to. Last time I put three tracks in my hair and I lost some hair..it grew back, but I did leave the tracks in for longer then a month. I just started to do a mild relaxer to try and take better care of my hair and make it fuller. recenlty its been hard to manage and I cant always get wash and sets. Shoul I put at least one track for 4 weeks, or will that cause more damage?

Should I put a track in my hair?

yes high lights dammage your hair ripping the protein from your hair

tracks are going to just keep dammaging your hair

it doesnt matter how long you keep them in

to put them in for only a day hurts your hair

1) Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is an essential oil that comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a plant native to Australia. It has been used for centuries as an antiseptic and anti-fungal agent.

Dandruff Herbal Fix.

Try these Herbal Remedies. Easy to use Advice.

www.janicehealthtips.com

There are many tea tree oil shampoos available in health food stores and some drug stores, and many people report these products help with dandruff.

There haven閳ユ獩 been many research studies on tea tree oil for dandruff. One study involved 126 people with mild to moderate dandruff. They used either a five percent tea tree oil shampoo or a placebo daily for four weeks. At the end of the study, the tea tree oil shampoo significantly reduced dandruff. No adverse effects were reported. Although promising, this was not a double-blind study (which means that the researchers knew which participants were using tea tree oil and which were using the placebo), so it cannot be considered solid evidence that tea tree oil works. For more information about tea tree oil, read the Tea Tree Oil Fact Sheet.

2) Apple Cider Vinegar

A home remedy for dandruff is to mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water.

Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and spritz it on to your hair and scalp, being careful to avoid the eye and ear area. Wrap your head in a towel.

After 15 minutes to an hour, remove the towel and wash your hair. This is generally done once to twice a week.

3) Biotin

Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin that helps to break down fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. It is sold in supplement form and is also found naturally in foods.

Food sources of biotin are egg yolk, liver, milk, soy, barley, brewer's yeast, and royal jelly. Biotin is also produced naturally by bacteria in the intestines.

Eating raw egg whites and prolonged use of antibiotics are thought to be causes of biotin deficiency.

I'm a licensed cosmetologist and find Head %26amp; Shoulders works wonders. You don't have to visit a salon to buy H%26amp;S. Pantene Pro V is great for conditioning. You may just be naturally shedding. Shedding is something all of us do. Our skin and hair sheds to make room for new cells. It all grows back, so don't equate shedding to hair loss.

I need help with my hair please?

In my experience H%26amp;S is best for dandruff, but Pantene does wonders for moisturizing and strengthening. Herbal Essences is also pretty good, and they have a huge variety of shampoos, so you might want to check those out too.

I need help with my hair please?

I would buy two shampoos and when you feel your hair is getting extra dry try the other brand for a few days.

Dandruff treatment is good but not everyone should use the same prescription.

Hi,

I too have the same problem and have done for a long time. I was told not to use Head %26amp; Shoulders by my hairdresser. I tried all the other hair products for the problem which my Dr. had diagnosed as Seborrhoeic Dermatitis such as Nizoral, T-Gel %26amp; plenty of others, even all natural, organic products, all to no avail. If you get hair?

if you get hair on your chest will you lose the hair on your head

If you get hair?

Wait, I'll check.

Nope. I still have hair on my head and my chest.

If you get hair?

no it does indicate you will, hair loss is a maternally linked trait. This means your mom carries the gene responsible for your hair loss pattern. Under normal health conditions, if you want to know if you will bald or have hair, look at your mom's father (granpa on mom's side)

If you get hair?

nope you can have hair in both places. It is though likely the more you get on your chest in the early years the more likely you will have less on your head as you get older. It is though not an absolute. Besides i think there is little you are going to do to change what is nature and genetics.

randy

If you get hair?

yes thats the law of physics and gravity taking place

If you get hair?

I believe there are some common factors but nothing absolute. I think it is DHT that causes hair loss but could also stimulate body hair growth. One thing for sure is that genetics are involved.

Sleeping with your hair up??

if you sleep with your hair up in a pony-tail does will you lose more hair than when its down??

Sleeping with your hair up??

I don't know... but it will make your hair smell good when you wash it then go to sleep with it up. ^^

Sleeping with your hair up??

No, not unless the ponytail is so tight it breaks hair. It only loos like more hair because the loose pieces stay in you hair and all fall out when you take it down.

Sleeping with your hair up??

i dont think so cause i sleep with my hair up in a ponytail and it seems fine

Sleeping with your hair up??

i always notice when i sleep with my hair in a ponytail, there's a lot of hair wrapped around the band when I take it out the next day. so i think that may really be true.

Sleeping with your hair up??

To PREVENT hair breakage, you should put your hair up before going to sleep and only brush hair when its DRY.

When you sleep with WET hair, hair strands are more fragile and easier to break. So don't sleep with wet hair!

This may sound crazy, but cotton pillow cases can also damage your hair as well, silky pillows are more sensitive on your hair.

other tips:

Be gentle when touching, combing and handling your hair. Treat it as a precious gem.

Comb your hair once daily (unless absolutely necessary).

Use large tooth combs and picks.

Throw away your hair brushes and buy a baby brush for smoothing your edges only.

Try using kiddie perms instead of the stronger relaxers normally used on adults.

Refrain from using excessive heat. Avoid curling irons, blow dryers, and air dry whenever possible.

Sleep in a satin cap or on a satin pillow case.

Find ways to replenish the protein lost when your hair is chemically treated (i.e. vitamin supplements, a healthy high protein diet).

Avoid hair grease, especially on the scalp. Use light cream hair dresses or hair polishers

Sleeping with your hair up??

thats wat my mom says too o_O

Sleeping with your hair up??

It's more likely because your hair breaks when it's up in a ponytail, especially when your head is pressed against a surface. I'd take the hair down when you sleep.

Sleeping with your hair up??

I Hardly ever put my hair up, But sometimes when I do, It like pulls my hair when I tie it up. I would consider sleeping with your hair down. Because You will wake up in the morning with a big dent in your hair with a pony tail.

(Well this happens to my hair, Yours may be different)

Sleeping with your hair up??

sleeping with your hair down is better because it won't rip out as much as you move around as it would if you had it in a pony tail.

though obviously your hair will be knotty when you wake up if you wear it down to sleep, you can always comb it.

its better than being bald.

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because i

Any Natural Solutions? Need help very baldly er i mean very badly!

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

Naturally we all lose hair as a part of re-growth. A doctor can tell you what may be the problem.

What I would do is stop wearing the baseball caps and refrain from wearing hats.Your head sweats and this can cause the hair shaft to be blocked for re-growth...very common with guys who were baseball caps all the time.

Buy shampoo that has a thickening agent in it...can buy at any drug store(Walgreens, CVS, SAV-ON).I don't have a name off hand but read the label. Should be easy to find.

Massage therapy on the scalp to stimulate blood flow.Just do it yourself...I like get shampoos at the salon because that's what they do...massage your scalp.

Eat Fish...and have a healthy diet. Exercise too.

Relax and don't worry about it so much.

Hormones change in our bodies every 7 years...and can cause some hair lose. Hopefully in about 6 months you should see some change. I don't think smoking has anything to do with it.

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

it's prolly not from smoking.. its natural to lose some hair ... i was losing at least a handfull at a time in the shower.. talk to your doctor.. see if its normal loss or actually balding..

stress is a big cause of it

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

ROGAINE!!

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

While the act of smoking will not cause hair loss, it can be a contributing factor to minimal regrowth. Smoking decreases the blood flow throughout your body and can effect things such as hair regrowth, healing etc.

See your doctor and find out if there are any tests that can be done.

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

I would be worried to if it was me i don't think its because you smoke but saying that smoking can deplete vitamins B and C in the body vitamin B is associated with having healthy hair are you under a lot of stress worrying about any thing .you really should make an appointment to see your doctor because they can advise you and put you in contact with specialists who can really help you good luck

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

hey, hair loss can be due to lots of things, mostly its genetic for men (i think). smoking may cause hair loss but not necessarily so..apparently there s a chemical called cadmium in cigarettes that can cause problems like this. i'm a woman going thru hair loss as well and trying to find whats the best solution for me, i'm also a smoker. why dont you go to this website www.hairlosstalk.com. its really good, the best i found so far that gives lots and lots of info abt hair and hair loss...they might be able to help you understand somethings..good luck.

I'm having hair lost and im only 26years old, baldness doest run on the family, is it because im a smoker?

I hope it's not 'cause you're a smoker, 'cause I smoke and I don't want to be bald. I am planning to quit soon though I'm sick of it, it does nothing for you except take you money and the worst make your lungs feel shitty and possibly over time end up with something worse than just felling shitty %26amp; for what? For the taste I smoke and I can sit here and say that people who smoke are retarded, but it's one of lives addictions people fall into. I had / have a friend just haven't seen him forever a friend that started going bald at about eighteen. So everyone is different. After all that I don't know of any solutions that really work, I'm Sorry I hope you find one from some where if you do let me know then I could help a couple people. You can find my contact info at my profile page. -Take Care-

Am I going to be hair less?

I am a Freshman in High school and I lose 50 hairs everyday. I mean when I get out of the shower my hair is on my back. Is this normal? Should I be loseing this much hair? Should I switch my shampoo? Please help.

Am I going to be hair less?

Here's what you gotta do:

1. Get a vitamin E capsule (most of them comes in gel capsule form that has a liquid inside. Any brand will do.)

2. Get a needle and pop the capsule.

3. Now get your shampoo bottle and put the liquid vitamin E inside the bottle.

4. Mix the bottle.

5. Use your shampoo.

You'll notice that your hair will grow faster compared before. Trust me, this works. :) I also do this myself. :)

If you have virgin coconut oil at home, you can use this as well. Put it on hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes (You can do this at least 3x a day). Then rinse it off using your shampoo. The VCO can act as your hair lengthener and as your conditioner. :) Goodluck! :) (Refer to my avatar to see how well VCO/Vitamin E works =P)

Am I going to be hair less?

go to a doctor

Am I going to be hair less?

start up a good hair strengthening treatment..young lady..deep condition hair..

Am I going to be hair less?

hair falls out for many different reasons...

-stress

-medical treatments

-chemicals/products used

-not taking care of it

my hair was falling out badly too and my hair specialist told me all that i need to do.

1-steam your hair. buy a deep conditioner and steam your hair every time you wash it. Motions is a good brand but I'm not too sure you'll find it. Try TRESSumme instead. they're great. just wet your hair put in the conditioner and cover with a shower cap. sit under a dryer or use your hand dryer for 10mins and then shampoo and condition as you would. make sure and condition

2-don't wash your hair everday. this damages hair bcuz it's stripping the nautral oils.

3-change shampoos. this could be making it worse. TRESumme is really good and so is dove. very moisture rich.

4- [VERY IMPORTANT]Vitamins. take the vitamin Pantogar. this was recommended to me. The dosage is one capsule 3times daily. it works wonders.

5-Clip your ends every 3months. tradition is to cut it 3days b4 a full moon bcuz it's believed to grow fuller bcuz the hair is allowed to grow into/with the full moon faze.

6-try not to pull your hair back into a ponytail too often. instead use clamps from Goodie or somethin

Am I going to be hair less?

if u keep washing ur hair every day they are going to be weak and breack off so yes

Am I going to be hair less?

i think you should ask a doctor

but i heard ure supposed to loose 100 hairs a day

and use less shampoo

or

scrub less

that might help

Am I going to be hair less?

well gurls loose tons of hair but sometimes you could be using a wrong kind of shampoo or if u strighten your hair and pull to hard it comes out but doesnt like fall out until you get in the shower

Am I going to be hair less?

It is normal for a person to lose about 100 hairs a day. If you lose more than that there might be a problem.

Am I going to be hair less?

on average people lose 80-100 hairs a day. this is normal. if you keep your hair in a pony tail or up in any way, sometimes the hair doesnt get the chance to drop off. or even if you use a lot of product, the hair may stick together until you dislodge it either by brushing or shampooing.

Am I going to be hair less?

Use a natural shampoo with no salt (try Aubrey Organics) they have only natural products. They're in Florida (Tampa area).

But stress, food, tobbaco, hormonal disfunction, hair chemical treatments are the number 1 to lose hair!

Am I going to be hair less?

Loss of hair is also a sign of Thyroid problems!!!

If you are noticing an increase in shedding then its important to go to your doctor for some blood work to make sure its not related to an malfunction somewhere in your body.It is normal to loose around 100 hairs per day on average.

these are some hair health tips to keep in mind

1.) Seaweeds, help stimulate the thyroid and give minerals for the proper health of the hair

2.) Spinach is great for the hair, contains lots of minerals,as are all the green vegetables.

3.) Protein your hair is made of protein so make sure you are getting it in either animal or vegetable form such as fish,chicken,beef,legumes,nuts... and cheese.Or protein drinks.

4.) take a good b-vitamin supplement with biotin which increases hair growth.

5.)MSM contains naturally occuring sulfer and will make your hair and nails grow faster.

6.) silica

this combined with a good scalp massage with herbal hair oil will do wonders for your hair. Avoid brushing ur hair when its wet,and use a natural shampoo that does not contain harsh or heavy cleansers with sodium laureth sulfates.

Am I going to be hair less?

Good nutrition. Cut way back on caffeine, sodas, fatty foods and refined sugar, and eat healthy foods without a lot of additives. A good multivitamin, plus supplements such as B-complex, Biotin, Calcium, and Omega-3 fatty acid supplements, such as Flax Oil, should do wonders for your nails, hair, skin, and will help you maintain a healthy weight, too. Stick with it and be patient. It takes time for healthy hair to be generated and grow in long enough to see it. Be careful of protein powder and protein drinks. There is some question they might cause kidney damage, if used too often or too much.

How can I make my hair naturally darker?

I heard that cutting real short helps it get darker. My hair lost some color awhile ago, and I want it to get naturally darker (without dyes or anything).

How can I make my hair naturally darker?

Cutting it short will reduce the light play in your hair it may look slightly darker, otherwise stay out of the sun. The only other option is dye, unfortunately

How can I make my hair naturally darker?

use olive oil products on your hair.

How can I make my hair naturally darker?

Stay out of the sun, going into the sun lightens hair.

How can I make my hair naturally darker?

There are shampoos that do not use harmful chemicals. It is Joh Frieda ....Brown or something. It will keep and enhance any brown you have. Also, stay out of the sun. The sun lightens your hair.

How can I make my hair naturally darker?

If your hair is brown like your avatar, this is what i would do. Get some Suave shampoo or pantene that is formulated for brown hair, and use it and the conditioner. It will darken a little after just a few days.

How to obtain hair growth on my demaged eye brow?

Hi,

i met accident %26amp; i lost my hair on my eye bro, is it possible for me to get hair growth on it? is there any methods avail? im 25 yrs old..

How to obtain hair growth on my demaged eye brow?

That's a very good question. I had stitches in my eyebrow when i was young and have a scar. The growth has always been strange and no hair grows in the scar. I think this may be because the roots are damaged, being so close to the surface.

I know that my sister also has a scar on the back of her head and no hair grows in that either. However, you might be able to talk to people at hair regrowth centres or places that do hair implants (like when men get their bald patches filled in!)

I know that sounds a little weird, but they might have seen something similar and be able to help! ( also they may be able to control the growth pattern, which means no more plucking or waxing! they just grown perfect!)

Hopefully that helps, good luck!

How to obtain hair growth on my demaged eye brow?

Hair plantation is the only way if possible for you .

How to obtain hair growth on my demaged eye brow?

This may sound weird, but "Rogaine" the hair rejuvenate, is

proven to generate loss of hair growth. Just apply it to your eyebrow.

How to obtain hair growth on my demaged eye brow?

try appling castor oil,it might prove beneficial

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

I am only 16 and my hair is thinning and i want to stop it before i lose my hair.

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

Genetics.

Make sure you thank your parents for it!

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

genetics

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

old age, you are actually a 40 year old dressed as a 16 year old so you can go undercover and find drugs the bad boys posses and are selling.

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

The short and easy answer is genetics and male pattern baldness caused from hormonal changes in your body.

The good news is you can probably pick up older women but you will still have the stamina of a young man you could have the best of both worlds. Don't sweat the small stuff, now get out their and find some cougars...

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

Srry dear you are screwed. The only thing you can do is go to the doctor and try to get some propecia because genetics causes hair loss and you are going to lose it.

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

Genetics and DHT (which also has to do with genetics but can be controlled), a hormone commonly implicated in male baldness, produced from testosterone. Theres nothing you can do about genetics. If your really worried, you can get a prescription for propecia, but its kinda expensive. It works for most people. Theres also Rogain which is over the counter.

Other than that, dont do anything that has to do with chemicals to your hair such as relaxing your hair, coloring, etc....

But its going to happen sooner or later, all you can do it try to delay it.

What causes your hair to get thinner and eventually bald?

its male pattern baldness and its heredity. u cant stop it....can delay it by consuming pills like finpecia or finax ( both otc ) but these pills r infamous to reduce ur sex drive if consumed for a long period of time and secondly u can apply the lotion like mintop or regain...

but results r not very exciting....

try to be comfortable with ur going bald....

Help with hair dyeing... I lost the instruction leaflet?

OK, so I have a box of "Loreal Superior Preference" Champagne Blonde hair dye. I have had it for a while trying to decide if I actually want to use it or not, and now I do but I have lost the instructions!

It came with: 1 bottle of conditioning creme, 1 bottle of Color Optimizing Creme, 1 bottle of Color Gel with patented fade-resistant colorants.

Obviously I use the conditioning creme last, after washing the color out. So what do I do with the first two bottles? The color optimizing creme has a (1) on it, and the Color Gel has a (2). Do I mix those two together? How long do I leave it on? Any help would be appreciated, thanks ahead of time!!

Help with hair dyeing... I lost the instruction leaflet?

Do you still have the box? There should be a 1 800 on the box to call, or call a salon. But I believe you do mix 1 and 2 together, as for the time anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes

Help with hair dyeing... I lost the instruction leaflet?

You usually mix 1 and 2 in a bottle with the tapered top put your finger over the hole and shake until mixed. Apply to hair thoroughly, loosly pile hair on top of head or secure with plastic clip. The average time is about 25 - 30 minutes. Rince and apply the conditioner.

I've been dying my hair for a long time and can almost recite the instructions from memory. I no longer even use box color but get it straight from Sally's Beauty Supply w/o instructions.

Help with hair dyeing... I lost the instruction leaflet?

mix 1 and 2 together and leave on for 25-30 min. check your hair after 25 min . then add a little bit of warm water and massage into your hair (like shampooing it. Then rinse hair with warm water until water runs clear. Add the conditioner and leave on for about 5 minutes. Rinse it and style as usual.

Help with hair dyeing... I lost the instruction leaflet?

Go buy another box

Help with hair dyeing... I lost the instruction leaflet?

yes, mix the two bottles together into the applicator bottle, shake very well, apply to hair and leave on 25-30 minutes.

When it is time to rinse, use coldish water, put a little water on your head and rub into hair for a minute or so, then rinse until water runs thru clear, use conditioner, let cond. sit in for a minute or so, then rinse that.

I just combed out my dreads and now my hair is super-thin...?

..I just was wondering if anyone knows how long it will take to thicken up? I have seen some people on here say "It never will" but I don't see how pulling out some hair would make it never grow back. I mean when you rip out a particularly nasty knot and lose some hair it grows back so why shouldn't the hair I lost from combing out dreads? If anyone has gone through this please reply, Thanks :)

I just combed out my dreads and now my hair is super-thin...?

Actually, it can never grow back, it depends on how it was ripped out. If the whole cuticle came with it, it's not growing back. Did you notice a bud at the end of the hairs that came out? That's a cuticle. If it just snapped somehwhere, even really cose to the top of the head, it'll grown back, but it's going to take some time. In general, if you want to get rid of dreads, cut them off, don't rip them out.

I just combed out my dreads and now my hair is super-thin...?

The hair that is there and thin won't miraculously get thicker, but in time it will grow back normal.

I just combed out my dreads and now my hair is super-thin...?

im assuming either 2 or 3 months..my hairdresser thined out my hair for summer and its just getting thicker now and its been...a month. but my hair is naturally very thick. good luck!

I just combed out my dreads and now my hair is super-thin...?

i have never had dreads but a lot of people that I know do have them and it takes a lot of time it takes months probably longer depending on type of hair.

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

My calves are for the most part hairless. When I was younger they had alot of hair. My wife is quite jealous, but it looks a bit freaky. Any explanation?

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

I have experienced the same phenomena, as did my brother and father. Some say it's an indication of the early onset of diabetes, but my wife, who is a RN says this is just a myth, that this phenomena is the product of lessening testestarone

that is a function of aging among men. I believe that this is the case with myself. Personally, I am proud of all the wrinkles and gray hair. I earned it!!! As for less hairy legs, well, if that is the only sign of aging you have, you are ahead of the curve!!!

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

maybe its something that just comes with age

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

no idea..

..my guess is that it isnt normal

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

I think it is. My dad's legs are becoming less hairy with age. Eh, but I'm no expert. Just an opinion.

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

Depends. If you're older then 55-65. If you are, then i have no bleeping idea. =]

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

I have heard of it before and it has happened to me a few times.

I thought it may of been a seasonal thing, like through the winter, which is normally the times i notice i lose hair. Someone else told me it could be pants rubbing on your leg as you walk.

Also another option is to get your blood sugar checked. It is known for diabetics to lose leg hair, but i think that would be the whole leg not just part.

Just some ideas. I'm going with the seasonal thing. I mean cats and dogs lose hair certain times of year, right.

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

Do you wear socks that go up kinda high? Like for sports or anything? It might have just rubbed off the hair and discouraged it to grow back. I know a lot of guys that happens to

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

I too have no hair on my legs or under my arms but I have a full head of hair and a very hairy chest so who knows why. No big deal!!

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

Yes, i think it is, I have had about 4 boyfriends with this. My first boyfriend had shins completely free of hair, it was nuts, like he waxed. He said it was from constant friction from socks? whether or not that is true, i have seen it too many times for it not to be normal. Oh and age isnt a factor, because all of these men have been in there early 20's :) It was a seasonal thing either cause he was like this all the time, just a lucky trait,? I was definetely jealous!

Is it normal for a man to lose the hair on his legs?

Yeah, I believe so. It's different for everyone!!!
