For most of my life I weight 110lbs. and about 13 years ago I took ill. The medications made me gain weight and lose my hair. The hair grew back beautifully, but the weight seemed to want to stay. I thought that I could exercise the weight away. This only made me bigger. I've found a new diet and I'm losing weight, I just don't want to have excess flab after I lose all this weight. My abdomen is my biggest problem. What are some exercises that can best tighten up my abs. as I finally lose this weight?

Hey, I hear ya. Start doing some cadio to uncover the layer of flab; then do crunches for the top of your abs, and leg raises for the lower part of your abdomen. And keep going on the diet. The 30 minutes of cardio 3 or 4 times a week are just as important as the crunches and leg raises. ok? goodluck:)Oh, you can do the cardio and the crunches together. Just alternate days; that's what I do.:)

Unlike the myth says, there is no way to "spot reduce" fat. In other words, working out your abs won't take away the fat from your abs; it will only tone your abs and increase the muscle (which you should want to do as well). Obviously you need to continue your low fat, low calories diet because you will need it with the cardio workout that you should start. You should also do some body fat abs to start losing. Be attentive to how you do them.
