Any chance of my hair just... growing back?

I'm 17 and losing the hair really only on the sides of my head. I'm just curious, is there in any way for it just to one day... grow back? I am fairly young, but I don't know if this would be an impossible case.

No, male pattern baldness is an inherited trait. You will not see it start to regrow, unless (and this is very unlikely) you have a scalp condition that can be cured.

Is your father/grandfather bald? Then that is likely where you got the gene. It's not unknown for men in their late teens to lose their hair.
